CENTRAL OHIO (WCMH) — Investigators are looking for a pair of females who stole $1,600 in merchandise from a Polaris store earlier this month.
Central Ohio Crime Stoppers said the two unidentified women are wanted after taking several high-end purses and wallets from the Von Maur store on Polaris Parkway on Sept. 10.
Investigators said the two females were browsing the store around 1:55 p.m. Video surveillance caught the suspects picking up and holding onto several handbags and wallets. The suspects asked a salesperson for assistance, which raised suspicion to store security. Cameras were able to capture the suspects, but security was unable to reach the women before they left the store in a black Ford Focus.
The suspects are described as black females between 25 and 30 years old with heavy builds. One suspect is described as having a medium complexion with her hair pulled bat in a bun. She was last seen wearing a light-colored t-shirt, shorts, sandals and sunglasses.
The second suspect has a darker complexion and appeared to be in the late stages of pregnancy, according to Crime Stoppers. She was last seen in a white t-shirt, black legging and tennis shoes, with her hair in a bonnet.
