Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship set to tee off

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — The 9th annual Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship gets underway Thursday.

Golfers participating in the pro-am ahead of the tournament teed-off  Wednesday morning at the Ohio State University Golf Club, Scarlet course.

This year’s tournament featuring a million dollar purse promises to bring top-notch competition.

The tournament is the third of four finals events on the Tour. Approximately 55 players from the PGA tour are expected to compete

Some big names who have participated in the past include Rickie Fowler, Dustin Johnson, Patrick Reed and local favorite Jason Day.

Last year’s tournament raised more than $1,000,000 for Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
