Police searching for 3 juvenile suspects accused of playground fire

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH)– Investigators say three juveniles met at Linden Stem Academy Monday night and set the jungle gym on fire.

Yellow caution tape blocks off the area where children once placed and fire investigators say three boys met in the middle of the playground Monday night at about 9 p.m., built kindling and struck a match.

The suspects were caught on camera leaving the scene.

“I’m sure somebody knows these three guys,” said Ken Jesenovec, who is assigned to fire investigations at Columbus Fire.

The three boys are now wanted for setting the fire that left parts of the playground melted and a $5,000 reward is being offered to help make an arrest in the case. The number to call is 614-645-3011.
