Zoo to host fundraising event to name one of the new lion cubs

POWELL, Ohio (WCMH)–The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium will be holding a “Wine for Wildlife” fundraising event with one of the auction items being a bit unique.

This year, one of the live auction items will include the naming rights of one of the African lion cubs recently born at the zoo.

The “Wine for Wildlife” will be held Saturday October 3rd, starting at 5:30 p.m. and some of the other live auction items include a day with a Columbus Zoo keeper, training a giraffe in the Heart of Africa region and dining with the tigers or polar bears.
