Delaware man dies in Union County crash

UNION COUNTY, Ohio (WCMH) — A single vehicle crash in Dover Township has left a Delaware man dead.

Ohio Highway Patrol troopers said Christopher Ball died after a serious crash on County Road 132 on Tuesday.

Investigators said Ball, 59, was heading east in a minivan when the vehicle went off the right side of the roadway at about 4:40 p.m. The minivan overturns and struck a tree.

Ball was taken to Union County Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced.  A passenger, 71-year-old Marcia Ball of Delaware, was taken to Union County Memorial Hospital and flown to Grant Medical Center in an unknown condition.

Safety belts were used by both occupants. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
