Picture of Alabama Deputy holding child after crash goes viral

LEEDS, Alabama– A deputy in Alabama shows the softer side of law enforcement, after a picture of him holding a child after a crash goes viral.

According to the Jefferson County Alabama Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, Deputy Ric Lindley helped to comfort the baby after a crash on Interstate 20 near Leads Tuesday morning.

The picture, which was shared at about 11 a.m., was quickly liked by more than 7,000 people, shared more than 2,300 times and had more than 275 comments.

No word on any injuries involved in the crash. Leeds is about 20 minutes outside of Birmingham.
