“Text to Give” to disaster relief

The American Red Cross is asking for help as they respond to the floods across South Carolina.

  • NBC4 will host a Call 4 during the 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. newscasts on October 6. Volunteers will staff the phone lines and take donations. The phone lines open at 5 p.m.
  • You can also help by donating to Red Cross Disaster Relief to support disasters big and small by visiting redcross.org, calling 1-800-RED CROSS or texting the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation.
  • Donations to Disaster Relief will be used to prepare for, respond to and help people recover from disasters big and small. The Red Cross responds to nearly 70,000 other disasters every year, from home fires to wildfires and more.
