KNOX CO., Ohio (WCMH)– Travis Bonham, 31, made his first court appearance here in Knox County common pleas via closed circuit TV.
Presently, he is charged only with grand theft auto.
Investigators are still trying to determine his involvement in the September 29th murder of his mother Sandra Stelk, 50, and girlfriend Jaime Barber, 23. Authorities say he stole his mother’s black Dodge Charger and abandoned it in Reynoldsburg.
Knox County Prosecutor Chip McConville says he is being held on $50,000 bond and a parole holder violation.
“Which means he can’t be released until that he holder is dropped,” says McConville. “Obviously that is going to give us some additional time to review the reports coming in and make some decisions on additional charges on Mr. Bonham,” he says.
He was arrested Sunday in Licking County with Ashli Price, who is being charged with a misdemeanor traffic violation.
Additional charges could be in the pipeline for not just Bonham.
“I anticipate more charges being filed before the end of the week,” McConville says.
“We are looking at everybody who was involved in this case,” he says.
Those other people could face charges, but McConville says it may not be this week.
NBC4 asked him how many people are being investigated?
“At this point probably half a dozen.”
Bonham and Price are due back in court later this week.
