Police: 1 hit by drunk driver while helping to push a car

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Police say a person was hit by a drunk driver while helping push another car that was out of gas.

The crash happened just before 3 a.m. at the intersection of East Livingston Avenue and Ellsworth Avenue.

According to police,three people were pushing a vehicle down Livingston when one of them was hit by another car.

The victim was taken to Grant Medical Center with a broken leg.

The driver of the car failed a field sobriety test and was arrested for OVI, according to police.

Livingston was closed for over an hour while police investigated.
