DUBLIN, Ohio (WCMH) — The search continues tonight for a man Dublin Police say grabbed a jogger early Tuesday morning.
The victims, who fears for her safety and asked that her name be withheld, says, “It was my normal routine, what I normally do every day.”
She had been running before sunrise. Dublin resident Liz Ferris normally walks her dog Harry early each morning, too.
“It was a shame because up until that point I felt so safe walking the dog early in the morning,” she said. I’ve never felt Dublin was a problem when it comes to things like that.”
Ferris tells NBC4 she will not be wearing her headphones while walking and will generally pay more attention. Others tell me they will not alter their plans, other than walking or jogging in daylight only. Still, everyone should notice police around keeping an eye on things.
“I certainly see more police patrolling now when I’ve been out for a walk,” Ferris said. “And I head down that way where it happened and the police are certainly more in presence there.”
Dublin Police hope you will recognize a man in two photos captured on a nearby school’s surveillance system. They believe the man pictured grabbed the jogger early Tuesday morning.
The victim in this case hopes you will take a close look at those pictures telling NBC4, “I would just really like to see this man caught. I would ask that everyone just look at these photos.”
Dublin Police have received tips since these photos were released, but tips have yet to produce any solid leads. Police continue to seek additional tips and information in hopes of identifying the suspect.
