Police find LSD in Ohio U student’s room after he is arrested for making terroristic threats

ATHENS, Ohio (WCMH) — Ohio University police arrested a 19-year-old student on Friday after he allegedly threatened to kill a police officer on social media.

Nickolaus Russell, of Gallipolis, was arrested at his dorm and is being held on a $10,000 bond at the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail.

Police say they learned of a threatening social media post around 10:30 a.m. Friday and traced it to Russell. He was charged with one count of making a terroristic threat, a third-degree felony. Police also say they found four unit doses of LSD in Russell’s room.

He was additionally charged with possession of controlled substances, a fifth degree felony.
