Big Walnut’s biggest fan inducted into Hall of Fame!

Matthew “Matty” Bale was born in 1978 only weighing 1lb 8oz. Doctors did not expect him to live, but growing up developmentally handicapped did not stop Matty from his love of football and dedication to his school.

He’s been the Big Walnut High School football team’s equipment manager since he was in the eighth grade, and 23 years later, he’s still on the sidelines each game giving out water, cheering on the team, and giving motivational pep talks in the locker room.

Tonight, the Big Walnut football team honored Matty by inducting him into their Hall of Fame. The honor could not go to a more deserving recipient.

Matty’s heartfelt laughter and joy is felt by all present at the games each Friday.
