MANSFIELD, Ohio (WCMH) — Mansfield police say they arrested an 11-year-old girl and several others after bomb threats at local schools.
All classes at Mansfield City Schools were cancelled Thursday due to continued threats against school buildings.
The closure affected Prospect Elementary, Woodland Elementary, Mansfield Middle School, Hedges campus, John Sherman Elementary, Spanish Immersion , Malabar Intermediate and Mansfield Senior High School.
On Tuesday, three schools in Mansfield were evacuated due to threats.
A public meeting was scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday in the auditorium of Mansfield Senior High School to address the recent rash of threats made against schools. NBC4 will update after the meeting.
The district says administrators will share as much information as possible and answer questions.
Wednesday, the Mansfield News Journal reported Mansfield Middle School and Mansfield Senior High school students were evacuated after a threat was found written in a bathroom.
On October 14, students in the Madison Local School District in Mansfield were dismissed early due to a district-wide bomb threat.
