North Columbus shooting injures 3

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Columbus police say three people were injured when a would-be armed robber started firing early Saturday morning.

Police said witnesses reported seeing a man attempt to rob someone just after 2 a.m. in the 2200 block of North 4th Street near Oakland Street. Investigators said shots suddenly rang out prompting bystanders to take cover.

Police said Naijae Manning, Isiah Davis, and KiAries Bushner were shot and taken to area hospitals. All three are expected to recover. Their ages are not known.

Investigators have not released any information on the suspect other than he is a black male. Anyone with information should call Detective VanVorhis at 614-645-0100 or Crime Stoppers at 614-645-TIPS.
