COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Ohio State fans expect to keep their trophy paid for with the blood of thousands of die-hard fans who claim they bleed scarlet and gray.
The 34th annual Blood Battle between Ohio State and Michigan fans began Sunday. The annual competition which transforms arch rivals into partners with the American Red Cross generates thousands of blood donations.
Anyone interested in donating can schedule an appointment online, or call 1-800-RED-CROSS.
Results of the contest will be announced at the November 28 game against Michigan in Ann Arbor.
