FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Ohio (WCMH) — Troopers are investigating after a male driver was killed and at least three others were injured in a three-vehicle crash Sunday evening.
Officials closed U.S. 33 westbound after the deadly crash occurred at about 7:40 p.m. Sunday. Investigators said a driver was attempting to turn onto U.S. 33 from Allen Road when he was struck on the front and the side. A second vehicle rolled over, resulting in multiple injuries.
A representative from the Violet Township Fire Department said at least three other victims were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. Two were rushed to Grant Medical Center and at least one was taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
As of Sunday evening, investigators have not released the names of the victims.
The road is expected to reopen early Monday morning.
