ROSS CO., Ohio (WCMH)– Ross County deputies say two men have been arrested and accused of an armed robbery at a store Thursday night.
According to the Ross County Sheriff’s Office, at about 8 p.m. Thursday, deputies were called to the Nipgen Mini-Mart in the 100 block of state Route 772, on the report of an armed robbery.
Store employees told deputies that two men entered the store wearing hooded sweatshirts, and masks. Employees said one man had a knife and demanded the cash register be opened. The suspects then took cash and other items from the store before driving away. Employees told deputies they had also been assaulted by the suspects.
Investigators from the Pike County Sheriff’s Office were also called to the scene because of an armed robbery and home invasion that had occurred in the county.
Deputies said a vehicle, matching the description of the suspects’ vehicle, was located in the 2000 block of Valley Road in Ross County, and deputies seized items, during a search warrant execution, believed to be taken during in the robbery.
As a result of the investigation, 22-year-old Cheyenne Starr and 37-year-old Daniel Gilbert were arrested and charged with armed robbery. Both men are also suspects in the Pike County home invasion and armed robbery, according to deputies.
Both incidents remain under investigation.
