COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH)– Harapan “Harry” the Sumatran rhinoceros has arrived at his new home in Indonesia after leaving the Cincinnati Zoo and flying out of Rickenbacker International Airport.

Harry was the only Sumatran rhino living outside of South Asia, and there are fewer than 100 left in the world.  Harry was relocated from his home at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden to the Sumatran Rhino Sanctuary, because zookeepers hope he will increase his species’ dwindling population.

Rickenbacker International Airport was used, as it offers ground access for unique cargo and is certified to export livestock.

Harry arrived at his new home earlier in November and his journey took nearly 53 hours and was about 10,000 miles total.
