Ohio Department of Agriculture to send Christmas trees to troops

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH)– The Ohio Department of Agriculture will be making the holidays a little merrier for military units this year by donating 100 Christmas trees to troops overseas.

Troops stationed overseas have been receiving the trees from the Ohio Christmas Tree Association since 1995.

Ohio school children, churches and veteran groups have also been working on decorations so the trees have everything needed to celebrate Christmas.

Christmas tree growers in Ohio donated the trees and they were inspected to certify they were free from pests and disease.
