Five Columbus men arrested on turnpike, troopers find machine used to duplicate credit cards

NEWTON FALLS, Ohio (WKYC/WKBN) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol says five foreign nationals were arrested last Thursday and charged with identity fraud, possession of drugs, possessing criminal tools and forgery, according to the OSHP report.

Troopers said the car they were in was initially pulled over on eastbound I-80 (the Ohio Turnpike) a few miles east of state Route 5 for an improper lane change. During a search of the car, WKYC reported, troopers uncovered a machine to duplicate and create credit cards.

They are all from in and around Columbus and are being held in the Trumbull County Jail.

According to the report, the five men arrested were Jibril Abdiselam, 24; Mohammeddeq Hassan, 27; Mohamed Mahamoud, 26; Zakaria Warsame, 25; and Said Sheikh. They are scheduled to appear in Newton Falls Municipal Court on Thursday.
