DUBLIN, Ohio (WCMH) — December 11, weather permitting, is now the new target date to open U.S. 33 along with the two loop ramps at I-270 and U.S. 33 in Dublin.
A small section of U.S. 33 and the ramps from U.S. 33 WB to 270 SB and 270 SB to U.S. 33 EB closed June 8th for construction of the new bridges and ramps over the interstate.
Also in December another milestone will be reached for drivers on two ramps. Soon, there will be two lanes instead one on the exit ramp from eastbound U.S. 33 to I-270 south towards Tuttle Crossing as opposed to one. The far right lane on the ramp ends at Tuttle. The left lane merges with I-270 south.
Construction on the $71 million project started in March and is scheduled to be complete in 2017.
