Ohio University police investigating threatening note

ATHENS, Ohio (WCMH)–Ohio University police are investigating a note found in a public bathroom, but said there is a low risk to the campus.

According to the Ohio University Police Chief, Andrew D. Powers, a note mentioning a violent act was found Wednesday in a public restroom on campus.

Powers said the note did not specify a location, individual or group of people, and believes there is a very low risk to the campus area.

Police continue to investigate the note, but Andrews asked that Ohio U. employees and students stay attentive to their work spaces, and observant of their surrounds.

Police ask anyone with information to call the OUPD at 740-593-1911.
