Police investigating threat, 3 Columbus City Schools placed on lockdown

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH)–Three Columbus City Schools were placed on lock down Thursday as a precaution while police investigated a threat.

According to a spokesperson with Columbus City Schools, West High School, Briggs High School, and Hilltonia Middle School were all placed on a precautionary lock down after some type of threat was received.

The lockdown will remained in place for the remainder of the school day, and students continued going to class.

No information was available on the nature of the threat or how it was received.
