Investigators searching for felonious assault suspect

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH)– A cash reward is being offered to anyone who provides a tip that brings an arrest in a case of felonious assault.

According to investigators, at about 12:25 p.m., October 4, a man and a woman became involved in fight in a parking lot of a carry-out store in the 900 block of E. 5th Avenue.

During the fight the man, identified as John Golden, pushed the woman in self-defense, causing her to fall. Investigators said it was at this point that another man exited the store and began to punch Golden on the head and face.

Golden was hospitalized, suffering from traumatic brain injury, where he remains in ICU.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 6 inches tall, in his 30s, and was last seen wearing a black hooded fleece jacket, white t-shirt, blue jeans and red athletic shoes. He was seen driving a silver or gray late model Ford Fusion with a sunroof.
