Franklin Co. deputies investigating deadly Thanksgiving shooting

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH)–Deputies in Franklin County are searching for two suspects after a man was shot and killed in a possible robbery Thanksgiving Day.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, at about 5 p.m. November 26, deputies responded to an alleyway next to 29 Volney Avenue on the report of a person shot.

Deputies said 47-year-old Glen Allen Stepp met a group of individuals in the alley, when one of them brandished a handgun and shot Stepp twice in the upper body.

Stepp was transported to Mount Carmel West Hospital where he died from his injuries.

Homicide Volney Ave Suspect 1 & 2Deputies are searching for two suspects in connection with the shooting. The first suspect is described as a black male, 6 feet to 6 feet 3 inches tall, 180 to 200 pounds in his late teens to early 20s. He has short curls or dreadlocks and was last seen wearing a red shirt, red pants, a black jacket and basketball shoes.

The second suspect is a black male, 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 9 inches tall, 160 to 180 pounds in his late teens to early 20s. He has short hair and was last seen wearing black pants, a gray shirt, a dark coat and basketball shoes.

According to deputies, the motive for the shooting may have been robbery.
