Perry County man dies after Nov. 10 crash

LOGAN, Ohio (WCMH) — A Perry County man has died as a result of a traffic crash that occurred on Nov. 10, 2015 at 5:22 p.m. on SR-93 north of the City of Logan.

The Athens Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol was notified today that Addison C. Person, age 79 of New Staitsville had succumbed to injuries that he sustained as a result of a traffic crash.

According to the patrol, Person was traveling northbound on SR-93 driving a 2013 Honda Fit when he failed to negotiate a curve and drove off the left side of the road. The vehicle struck a ditch then rolled onto its top where it came to rest. He was transported from the scene to the Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Logan and died Nov. 26 at 10:30 p.m. at the Pickering House in Lancaster, Ohio.

A passenger in the vehicle, Katheryn A. Person, age 71 also of New Straistville was transported to the Hocking Valley Community Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.

Safety belts were in use and alcohol is not suspected in the crash.
