Polar bear cub continues to grow at Columbus Zoo

POWELL, Ohio (WCMH)– Staff at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium says the polar bear cub continues to do well, even after 25 days.

According to the zoo, the hand rearing team stays with the cub 24 hours a day and she feeds every three hours.

As of Tuesday morning, she was 14.25 inches from the end of her snout to the tip of her tail, and she continues to gain weight.

She hasn’t opened her eyes yet, but it should happen within the next five days.
