Cold case: Bexley homicide remains unsolved

BEXLEY, Ohio (WCMH) — After nearly two years of investigating, police are asking for tips to bring closure to an unsolved homicide case.

Bexley and Columbus police responded to a report of a shooting near the intersection of Stanwood Road and Delmar Drive the evening of Jan. 23, 2014. Police identified the victim as Rudolph Edward-Anthony Calmese Jr. He was found laying in the grass next to his 1999 black Ford Mustang with two gunshot wounds.

Calmese was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

Police are unsure why Calmese was in the Bexley area that night, and officials have not released any information on a suspect or motive. Police are asking the public for more information on this unsolved case.
