COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH)– Deputies in Franklin County are searching for Da’Juan Mankins as a suspect in a shooting on Thanksgiving that killed a man on Columbus’ west side.
According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, at about 5 p.m., November 26, 47-year-old Glen Allen Stepp of 29 Volney Avenue had met with a group of people in the alley near his residence.
Deputies said one of the men pulled out a handgun and shot Stepp twice in the upper body. Stepp would later die from his injuries.
Mankins, 18, has been named as a suspect in Stepp’s death and detectives say robbery may have been his motive.
Mankins is described as a black male, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 215 pounds, with tattoos on his face, neck and upper body.
Deputies say Mankins may be in west Columbus, possibly in the Hilltop or Franklinton area. He is considered armed and dangerous.
