Woman injured when gunmen open fire into garage

COLUMBUS (WCMH) – Police say two men opened fire into a garage Monday night, hitting a 66-year-old woman.

According to Columbus police, it happened at 7:42 p.m. Monday at a home on the 3400 block of Oakcrest Road.

The victim, Joan Dumas, 66, told police she had just parked her car in her garage when she heard multiple gunshots and was hit once in the shoulder.

Witnesses told police two men got out of a white Dodge Charger with a black stripe along the back, approached Dumas’ car and opened fire. The witnesses said the men then got back in the vehicle and drove away.

Dumas did not see the suspects.
