ROSS COUNTY, Ohio (WCMH)– A bus driver who noticed something suspicious during his afternoon route helped deputies capture two suspected thieves.

Chillicothe City Schools driver Shawn Ost was getting ready to drop off children at an address in the 1300 block of England Hollow Road and noticed a strange van in the driveway with two strange men, according to the sheriff’s office.

Ost did not allow the children off the bus and went down the road to call the sheriff’s office.

Deputies arrived and found that the residence had been burglarized. Ost was able to give deputies a good description of the vehicle and its occupants. Deputies stopped a vehicle matching the description on South Paint Street that was occupied by 27-year-old Corey Howes and 26-year-old Donald Collins. A search warrant was obtained for the vehicle and deputies discovered items that were taken from the residence.

Both suspects were arrested and charged with Burglary and transported to the Ross County Jail.
