Police: Suspects shoot man, put him in a car, shove him out

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH)– Columbus police say a 19-year-old man died Friday after being shot, placed in a car, and then shoved out onto the street a short distance away.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, at about 11:40 a.m. today, officers were called to the area of 361 South Eureka Avenue on the report of a shooting.

When they arrived they found 19-year-old Quran T. Davis suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to Mount Carmel West Hospital in critical condition.IMG_0197

Police say there was apparently an exchange of gunfire inside the home. Unknown suspects put Davis in a vehicle and began driving, but decided to push him out of the car.

Police said they are searching for a black or gold Pontiac that may be connected to the shooting.

Eureka Avenue is closed while police investigate.

This is the 87th homicide of 2015 in Columbus.
