COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Investigators are asking for help tracking down four people who tried to steal four designer handbags from a store at the Polaris Mall.
On Sept. 5, three women and one man were spotted entering the Von Maur store at 1530 Polaris Parkway at about 7:20 p.m. The suspects went directly to the handbag department where two women picked up four bags. The suspects left the store but were stopped by security at the entrance. The merchandise was recovered, but the suspects were able to leave the scene in a gray Ford Escape with Ohio license plates 3D7JH.
Investigators describe the four suspects as:
- A female in her early 20s with a dark complexion; last seen wearing a sleeveless striped patterned midriff top and dark skirt
- A female with a medium brown complexion; last seen wearing a black short-sleeved top and distressed jeans
- A male with a dark complexion; last seen wearing sunglasses, black t-shirt and long jean shorts
- A female with a medium-brown complexion and braided extensions; last seen wearing a sleeveless navy top and long dark shorts.
