Columbus Police arrest 16-year-old suspect in fatal shooting of 17-year-old

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH)– Columbus police have arrested a 16-year-old suspect accused of the shooting death of 17-year-old Jeremiah Harper.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, at about 12:54 p.m. Monday, officers responded to the 1100 block of Duxberry Avenue on the report of a shooting.

When police arrived on scene they found Harper suffering from a gunshot wound. Harper was transported to the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center where he later died from his injury.

Tonight, police said they have arrested a 16-year-old male and have charged him with the murder of Harper.
