Super wheelchairs have vets on the go!

(KFOR) There’s a new ride around town for one group of disabled veterans in Oklahoma City.

Nine all terrain wheelchairs were given to the Mid-America Chapter of the Paralyzed Veterans of America Tuesday.

“A hunting trip or a fishing trip. You just can’t do that with most systems,” Hodge Wood, one veteran said.

The chairs are a Christmas gift from the employees at ITC, an electric transmission company.

The organization plans on loaning the new wheelchairs to its 800 members on a first come-first serve basis.

That way veterans, like Hodge Wood – a former air force service member, can go to places they’ve never dreamed they’d go again.
