Alcohol suspected in fatal Fairfield County crash

AMANDA TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WCMH)–Troopers say alcohol is suspected to be a factor in a one-vehicle fatal crash in Fairfield County.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said the crash happened around 6:43 p.m. on Ohio 188 in Amanda Township. Daniel Marshall, 57, of Amanda was traveling eastbound when he went off the left side of the road, struck a fence, and overturned. He was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle.

Amanda Township EMS transported him to Grant Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
