ROSS CO., Ohio(WCMH)–Deputies in Ross County are investigating after a body was found in a wooded area in the northeastern part of the county.
According to deputies, the body of what is presumed to be a male victim was found by a homeowner in the area of Bull Creek Road and state Route 327, at about 10:20 Thursday morning.
“We’re just treating it as a homicide until we either prove that it is or it’s not,” said Ross County Sheriff’s Deputy Lt. Mike Preston. “It’s suspicious that this is such a heavily wooded area where the body was found.”
The 911 caller said the body seemed to have a bag over its head. Authorities said the body was clothed and there were no weapons found.
BCI has been called in to help with the investigation, but Preston he wasn’t aware of any men reported missing in the area.
“That’s one of the things that investigators are working on is trying to track down if there are any missing people.”
