Train cleared after crash in Marion

MARION, Ohio (WCMH) — A train that was stopped for hours in the 900 block of West Center Street in Marion after a crash Friday morning, has been cleared.

Just before 7 a.m. Friday, Marion police were dispatched to the 900 block of West Center Street (near Latourette Street) in Marion on a report of a crash involving a train.

Specifics have yet to be released, but at least one person, the driver of a van, was injured in the crash.

When medics arrived, the man was alert and walking around the scene.

Police said the train was stopped for several hours, but it has since been cleared.
