COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Meet Scout, the three and a half month old cougar from the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium.
Cougars go by several names, including mountain lion, Florida panther and puma.
The spots that can be seen on the young cougar will eventually disappear when she is fully grown. When fully grown, Scout will weigh around 130 or 140 pounds.
Cougars were once the most common wildcat in North America. Today, they are primarily in the western United States.
This week, the Columbus Zoo is also celebrating the 59th birthday of Colo, the oldest gorilla living in captivity in the world.
