Man dead after truck crashes through Arby’s in Chillicothe

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio (WCMH) — A man has died after a pick-up truck crash into an Arby’s restaurant in Chillicothe.

Chillicothe police and firefighters responded to the Arby’s at 1082 N. Bridge St. in Chillicothe on the report of a vehicle entering a building just before 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Officer Bud Lytle said one man, who was standing in line at the time of the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene by medics after the crash. He said the driver of the truck, a 56-year-old man from Jackson, is OK and is being questioned by police.

Police identified the victim as 19-year-old Marcus Weaver from Kingston.

Chillicothe firefighters said a minor related to Weaver was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
