Last-minute donations for Firefighters for Kids toy drive

WORTHINGTON, Ohio (WCMH) — With less than a week until Christmas, firefighters are still collecting toys and donations to help families in need this holiday season.

The Worthington Division of Fire are collecting the items for the Firefighters for Kids toy drive, in addition to food donations benefiting the Worthington Resource Pantry. Although their final big donation day was held on Saturday, donations can be dropped off any time until Christmas Eve.

Donated toys need to be new and unwrapped. They can be for children of all ages, however there is a particular need for toys for teenage boys and girls. Gift cards, cash or check donations are also welcomed. The toys will be distributed to central Ohio area children who might otherwise go without this holiday season.

For more information, call the Worthington Division of Fire at 885-7640 or visit firefighters4kids.com. If your family is in need of assistance call the City of Columbus Call Center at 3-1-1 or visit 311.columbus.gov.
