3 seriously injured in Frank Road head-on crash

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Three people were seriously injured Sunday morning in a head-on crash in southwest Franklin County.

The crash happened just before 2:30 a.m. Sunday on Frank Road west of Interstate 71.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, a Pontiac G6 and a Kia Optima collided head-on in the eastbound lanes of Frank Road.

The occupants of the Kia Optima, 45-year-old Jill Roese and 44-year-old David Bailey were taken to Mt. Carmel West Hospital.

The driver of the Pontiac, 22-year-old Cory Beaty was taken to Grant Medical Center with life threatening injuries.

According to deputies, all three are currently in stable condition.

Investigators say that Beaty was not wearing a seatbelt and alcohol may be a factor in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
