UPDATE: Columbus police restores non-emergency number

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — The Columbus Division of Police has restored their non-emergency number after reporting technical problems.

Police said their non-emergency number, 614-645-4545 was experiencing technical Sunday afternoon. Police IT staff are aware worked to restore service in about two hours.

The outage did not affect the city’s 911 emergency system.  Citizens are urged to use the 911 system for life threatening emergencies only.
