Police say quick-thinking teenager helped catch burglar

Davon Rayford

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH)–A 16-year-old heard a burglar breaking into his home on Wilson Avenue on Monday, police say, so he climbed out a window and ran to call 911.

Officers arrived and found the suspect, 19-year-old Davon Rayford, who ran to his grandmother’s home less than a half-mile away on Oakwood Avenue.

Police say Rayford had put televisions by the victim’s back door, but didn’t get away with them.
