Delaware home damaged in fire, two firefighters injured

DELAWARE, Ohio (WCMH) –Two firefighters suffered minor injuries while fighting a fire in Delaware.

It happened around 6:15 a.m. on Colfret Court in Delaware.

When firefighters arrived, they found heavy fire coming from the back of the 1-story home.

Nobody was inside when the fire started. Firefighters reported that the homeowner was at work when it started.

One firefighter was injured when he slipped and fell. Another was injured by a hose. Both injuries were described as minor.

The Red Cross was called to assist the homeowner.
