Body found near northwest Columbus apartment complex, police do not say death is suspicious

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Police are investigating after a body was found in a wooded area near a northwest Columbus parking lot.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the death does not appear suspicious.

The body was first reported at 11:14 a.m. near the 2000 block of Farrel Drive. That’s near the Residences at Sawmill Crossing apartments.

Police are focused on an area about 20 feet into the brush in the southeast edge of the complex.
