Man indicted on four counts for setting fire at Columbus warehouse

Robin Toms

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH)–Robin Toms, who is accused of setting a fire at SJT Depot warehouse on Dec. 14, was indicted Wednesday by the Franklin County Grand Jury.

Toms, 30, was indicted on one count of aggravated arson (F1), one count of arson (F4), one count of vandalism (F3), and one count of breaking and entering (F5), for a total of four counts.

Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien made the announcement Wednesday.

“Fortunately no one was injured, however the destruction put dozens of people out of work, forced two schools to be closed for the day, required between 50-100 firefighters to fight the blaze, and the total losses are expected to be in the millions,” O’Brien said.

Toms will be arraigned Monday. He faces a potential sentence of 11 years in prison.
