COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – Marvel Universe Live! takes the stage at Nationwide Arena this weekend.
Today, several performers from the action packed show spent time with children from Amethyst.
“It’s really an amazing experience. We get to be with the kids, spend time with them and somewhat get to know them,” said Josh Davidson.
The Dayton native plays the character Hawkeye in the show.
The 20 children were treated to a shield-making party, complete with juice and cookies. Amethyst is a local organization that gets drug and alcohol addicted women/mothers back on track and reunited with their children.
The event, held at the Thurber Center at 77 Jefferson Avenue, was a hit with the kids.
“I’m so happy. I was like really suprised,” said one ten-year-old girl. “They just came out of nowhere and I like it when we stretched.”
“My favorite is Tony Stark because it’s cool how he flies around in that suit,” said a young boy.
The performers helped the kids make their shields and demonstrated many of the stunts and tricks they will see during the show. Each child got tickets to a weekend performance.
“We do PR in every city. We try to get out and see they kids and their families that will see the show,” said Davidson.
Marvel Universe Live! opens Saturday, December 26 and runs through December 28. The high energy show features cutting-edge special effects, pyrotechnics, aerial stunts, martial arts, motorcycles and more.
