(WCMH)– Verizon has joined the other big cell phone carriers to offer paying of early termination fees to switch.

According to CNN Money, Verizon will pay $650 per line if you sign up for a new plan with them and trade in your old phone. If you sign up for 12GB or more, they’ll also give you an extra two gigabytes of data per month.

With the offer extending up to 10 lines, your family could get up to $6,500 to switch, but there are rules.

CNN Money says you’ll have to sign up for an installment plan to buy a new phone, which you’ll pay off over time.

Your old phone has to be worth more than $0, and you have to stick with Verizon for at least six months.

Also, the $650 only applies if you’ve been paying off the value of your phone in an installment plan with your old carrier. Verizon will also give you up to $350 to pay off your early termination fees, if you were under a two year contract with your current provider.
