COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Investigators are seeking more information in the death of a man who was shot and killed returning to his southeast Columbus home in 2014.
Officials said Rondell Rashad Brinkley was returning to his home at 1029 S. Champion Ave. at about noon on October 16, 2014. He was approached be several individuals on the sidewalk outside his home.
Investigators are unsure what happened next, but Brinkley was eventually shot. The suspects took his money and jewelry before fleeing the scene.
Brinkley was found by his mother, who called police. He was taken to a local hospital where he died as a result of the shooting.
Police are still seeking those suspects and are asking the public for tips to solve this case.
